Training Modules
HR Classroom training modules support a broad range of browser versions. Our trainings
require JavaScript to be enabled and use session variables to store temporary information
in the web browser's memory to recognize an employee as he or she passes from page
to page.
Session variables allow HR Classroom to avoid the use of query string variables
in the address bar of a web browser. This ensures good security and keeps trainees
from modifying the details of their training session. Session variables are automatically
deleted when all browser windows are closed or the browser remains inactive for
over fifteen minutes. No permanent cookies are stored on an employee's computer.
Audio capabilities are required for the special timed versions of Sexual Harassment
Prevention for supervisors in California and Connecticut. Access to the HR Classroom
audio player will require your trainee's browser to have Flash 6.0 or higher installed.
The use of audio is optional in trainings except the following special trainings
which are timed to meet special state requirements:
- Sexual Harassment Prevention for California Supervisors (English & Spanish)
- Sexual Harassment Prevention for Connecticut Supervisors
The Training Modules have been successfully tested on the Mac/OS and Windows platforms
using Netscape (Versions 6.23, 7.0, 8.0, 9.0); Microsoft Internet Explore (Versions
4.5 Mac/OS, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, and 7.0 preview); Mozilla FireFox (Versions 1.0 and higher);
Safari (Macintosh) Web Browser (Versions 1.0 and higher); and Opera (Versions 8.5
and higher). All HTML Content on the HR Classroom web site validates to the HTML
4.0 standard developed by the World
Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
While the list above represents all officially supported browsers, any web browser
capable of parsing a page authored in the HTML 4.0 standard should be compatible
with HR Classroom web pages. If you intend to use a web browser that is not mentioned
above, please contact [email protected]
for additional information.
Administrative Areas:
The administrative areas of HR Classroom also require JavaScript to be enabled and
use session variables to store temporary information in the web browser's memory.
This information uniquely identifies an employer from page-to-page and provides
additional security. Session variables are automatically deleted when all browser
windows are closed or the browser remains inactive for over fifteen minutes.
For administrative areas, HR Classroom recommends using Microsoft Internet Explorer
5.5 or better, but the employer areas have been successfully tested on the Mac/OS
and Windows platforms using Netscape (Versions 6.0, 6.23, 7.0, 8.0 and 9.0) and
Microsoft Internet Explore4 (Version 4.5 Mac/OS, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, and 7.0 preview).
Browsers (In General):
Using more recent browser versions will provide HR Classroom users with a better
training or administrative experience. While the site is functional using a variety
of older web browsers, minor problems with the appearance of some pages may occur.
If you have questions about a specific browser, browser version, or rendering problem,
please send a detailed message to [email protected]
and request additional information.
